Meet the Sterling Homes Team
Collin is the driving force, visionary and personal guide behind making a new home a reality, while ensuring that customers enjoy the home building processes. He is the translator between a customer’s vision and the team that can make it happen. Collin works with customers from the first meeting to the moment they get the keys to their home- guiding them through the process and making sure their great ideas become a reality. He knows that every customer has unique and creative vision for their home. Whether it’s figuring out the best orientation for a home on its property to helping customers achieve efficiency objectives, Collin pays attention to every detail so that the customer doesn’t have to.
Collin values keeping the important things in life important. When he isn’t working, he can be found spending quality time with his wife Kate and their three daughters. As a native Vermonter, he loves skiing, hockey and spending time outdoors. Collin is also a dedicated life-long learner; he is constantly reading and listening to podcasts to broaden his horizons. Collin is an active leader in his Parish Council, a member of the Diocesan Pastoral Council and is on the Building Commission for the Diocese of Burlington.
Collin’s dedication to improving the built environment in VT goes beyond Sterling Homes. Collin served as president of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern Vermont (HBRA), completing his term in 2009. He has since been a continual leader in the HBRA in developing its local green initiatives. In 2010, he received the T. Wayne Kondor Builder of the Year Award for his influence and commitment to the local building community. As a Certified Green Professional by the National Association of Home Builders and as a founder of the Vermont Green Building Alliance, he is often sought out for his expertise in the green building field. He is frequently invited to the University of Vermont as a guest lecturer, and has spoken at multiple building conferences around the country.
Collin has been a part of Sterling Homes from the start when his father, Bart Frisbie, started the company in 1979. His hands on experience working for Sterling Homes throughout high school and college, as well as his 12 years as an Army aviator have led to his keen attention to detail and process oriented mindset. Collin purchased Sterling Homes in 2016 and is determined to continue its proud legacy.
Every day, Collin works tirelessly to ensure Sterling’s customers are happy. He loves creating strong relationships with customers and enjoys the home building process as much as they do. He is passionate about the work that he does: providing an exceptional home to raise a family, enjoy retirement, or simply appreciate life. You’ll be glad to have him as your partner in building your new home.
